It would be nice if error margins were automatically handled by specto, if the user requests so. To do that, the user would click an "autodetect" button, which would display a "please wait, analyzing" dialog. Meanwhile, Specto would load the page 3-5 times and determine the average/maximum % variation (because of ads on a webpage for example) and determine the error margin from that. |

"where would you add the button? when you add the watch or when you edit the watch? - both I guess, since in both cases you can set the error margin, it's just a button that would go besides it - the problem is that you have to create the watch to be able to get the error margin and when you add a watch, the watch isn't created yet. Maybe you will have to create a ghost watch or something that you remove when you know the error_margin - I think that may be too acrobatic/dangerous, might as well just have the feature for Edit watch - or maybe an option in the menu. it opens a dialog where you select the web watches where you want automatic error margin detection |
