Simplest Possible Blogging System
A blogging system that doesn't use a database or have a web interface? What are we thinking?
Frankly, we're thinking that we don't want our blog to be such a bother. We've minimized the number of "moving parts" -- we wanted to remove as many possible points of failure as we could.
There's almost no configuration, it's compatible with every web host out there, it's almost impervious to hacks and spam, and it requires no maintenance. As long as the web host stays in business, an SPBS website should stay up for essentially forever. As long as there's browsers capable of rendering HTML, an SPBS site will keep going.
No database. No web interface. No security updates. No hacks. No spam. No problem.
