Sparsh Applications

We supply several default applications to help get you started using Sparsh. Our hope is that with the application and example code, you will be able to write some of your own great applications.

Photo Organizer This is a simple application that allows you to view your photos. With Multitouch you have the ability to move, resize, and rotate your photos.

Steps to run Photo Organizer

  1. Download and unzip PhotoOrganizer.zip
  2. Download the newest version of the GestureServer
  3. In a terminal browse to where you saved the GestureServer
  4. Run the GestureServer by using the command "java -jar GestureServer_Java_6-11-09.jar"
  5. It should say Accepting Connections
  6. Run your input driver or the mouse simulator
  7. Run Photo Organizer by double clicking on the PhotoOrganizer.jar file
  8. You should be good to go

Tangrams This is a simple application that allows you to move and rotate different tangrams on the screen.

Steps to run Tangrams

  1. Download and unzip Tangrams.zip
  2. Download the newest version of the GestureServer
  3. In a terminal browse to where you saved the GestureServer
  4. Run the GestureServer by using the command "java -jar GestureServer_Java_6-11-09.jar"
  5. It should say Accepting Connections
  6. Run your input driver or the touch simulator
  7. Run Tangrams my double clicking on the Tangrams.jar file
  8. You should be good to go.

FingerPaint This is a simple application that allows you to paint with your fingers on the screen. It allows you to change colors and clear the screen.

Steps to run FingerPaint

  1. Download and unzip Tangrams.zip
  2. Download the newest version of the GestureServer
  3. In a terminal browse to wehre you saved the GestureServer
  4. Run the GesturServer by using the command "java -jar GestureServer_Java_6-11-09.jar"
  5. It should say Accepting Connections
  6. Run your input driver or the touch simulator
  7. Run FingerPaint by double clicking on the FingerPaint.jar file
  8. You should be good to go.

how would I call,.. but,. hi dude,.. I am a student,.. I wanna make a research like this too by using visual c++,.. but, i want to imply it into touchpad,.. I mean, any touchpad can recognize finger motions,... please give me your suggestions,.. best regard,..
