Social DC 311

This application was developed to provide residents of District of Columbia with a better way to submit requests regarding various aspects of our day-to-day life that needs to be fixed in one way or another. With this application the user can submit a request, see history of the submitted requests and be recognized as a most attentive submitter.

Social DC 311 Solution interacts with the user via two interfaces:

• Flash UI, which is accessible as Facebook Widget (undergoing the Facebook approval).
• IPhone application, it is currently going through the approval process at Apple, so we cannot provide you with the link to the application just yet.

Version 1.0 (July 1st, 2009)

• Ability to submit requests about issues to DC 311 service,
• Validation of addresses through Google and common DC services,
• Tracking of the submitted requests,
• Locating the requests on the map,
• Recognition of the most active users in Hall of Fame.

Notes: The attached source code was cleaned to remove any URLs or API keys (or similar) to keep the existing application out of potential harm.
