Does new code from SM also get pulled into sm-scc?
Yes, new code from SM does get pulled in sometimes. Back when people worked on SM5, more code was pulled in because of a shared codebase.
Tip with Windows 7 at least: If you suffer from huge controller lag, even with keyboard, try setting VSync=0 in your Preferences.ini.

when i changed "Aspect Ratio" the window shrank and blurred A LOT. i've tried changing it back to the original setting, but it remains blurred, and none of the other Aspect Ratio settings fix this. please help
I installed Stepmania 5 on my Windows XP Professional SP3. When i run it, it said "this application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem" then i uinstall it and i install it but still show that message when i run it. Please help me.
How the hell do I get out of the event mode it doesn't show the options.

To change out of Event mode or to: Options > More Options > Arcade Options
