How do I perform a backup?There are two ways to perform backups as described below Batch Jobs & Right-Click Individual Back-ups Q: Where are the backups saved to on my hard drive?
A: Where USERNAME = Windows username;AVATARNAME= Second Life name
-Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\My Documents\SLMIV\backup\AVATARNAME
-Windows Vista: C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\SLMIV\backup\AVATARNAME
-Windows 7: C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\SLMIV\backup\AVATARNAME Back-up Batch Jobs| Sign-in using the 'SL Connection' tab feature. NOTE: You must have the 'Stay connected' checkmarked before pressing 'Connect' |  | | After successfully connected and your SLMIV inventory tree has been created, click on the 'Backup' tab. 1) Choose your items estimated time will be refreshed each time you select a category 2) Click the 'Backup These Items' button and the backup will begin. Don't expect your backup to finish faster then the estimated time. |  | | NOTE: If you have previously downloaded items or a backup folder, SLMIV will ask you if you want to delete all exiting items in that backup folder OR just download everything again and replace if there are any existing items. Click YES to delate ALL of your existing items for that avartar folder OR click NO keep existing local items and write over any existing items OR click CANCEL to stop the backup. |  | | You know the backups are completed when you do not see the 'Downloading' or 'Decoding' images progressbar in the upper-right hand corner of the screen. Also the realtime logging stops posting messages after sometime. It backups images last. You may click on the 'Browse Backup Folder' button to open the backup location in Windows Explorer. |  | | AUTO-ADDS TO YOUR IMAGELOG: Click on 'My Inventory' and select then hover over an image you just backed up, it will display because of the entry made in the imagelog.txt (Logs Tab) |  |
