The overall SKUA architecture

SKUA architecture

There are several pages on the wiki which are concerned with the project architecture – indeed all the pages tagged Architecture are concerned with it in some way – but they're becoming a bit unstructured. This page is a first attempt at tieing them together, though it still needs a fair amount of work; in particular, I suspect this design may be scattered over too many pages to be straightforwardly comprehensible.

There are several open questions, gathered together as ArchitectureIssues

SACs

The core notion within SKUA is the idea of the SemanticAnnocationCollection, or SAC, which is a bag which holds claims, such as 'X is a useful resource', or 'paper X is rubbish'.

SACs have a number of identified features, and there are unresolved questions concerning their identifiers and the security surrounding them.

There are various ClaimTypes, plus questions surrounding the validity and provenance of claims. See the pages tagged ClaimType for details.

APIs

We have a brief page discussing Interfaces, and there are some interface implications in Tony's notes on WhatSpacebookWants
