Older Sep 06, 2008 issue 1 (Description fields are too short) commented on by kristian.rasmussen - I understand your reasons for not wanting to increase the size of the Short Name field (is is called "Short Name" for a reason), but I'd still say 12 characters is a bit on the short side. Currently, I can't use the DNS host name as the Short Name for several of my servers, routers and switches, which means I have to invent new names for these devices in SkipoleMonitor. Increasing the field size by just 4 characters to 16 would solve the problem for me.
