issue 9 (Create Editing Sessions per Project) reported by andre.bossert   -   It would be good to have atomatically or manually created sessions per project. I'm working on 2-3 projects and have 10-15 files opened. It would be perfect to create one session with all files from special project. Now one can close this special project or close all files for the created project-session and open it later.

issue 7 (Fails to load in Aptana Andretti (Based on eclipse 3.4)) commented on by tsummerall   -   They updated the bug to explain "In Andretti release - the specific class no longer exists as we removed the plugin that contained it." So I guess this means even the new aptana standalone won't support skin4eclipse file set loading outside of project files, which is the main reason I wanted to use it.

issue 8 (double click on editor title removes other views) reported by andre.bossert   -   What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. double click on editor title 2. other views are removed and cannot be restored 3. restart eclipse and views are there again What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Editor is maximized. Other views are deleted and cannot be restored until eclipse restart. What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? Eclipse 3.4.2 CDT 5.0.2 skin4eclipse 1.5.2 Please provide any additional information below. I can reproduce this error with skin4eclipse 1.5.2. Pervious version 1.5.1 is working without problems. I attached the screenshots before double click and after it. Andre

issue 7 (Fails to load in Aptana Andretti (Based on eclipse 3.4)) commented on by iloveeclipse   -   You can report in issue to Aptana's bug tracker, that their implementation of com.aptana.ide.core.BaseFileEditorInputWithUriSupport doesn't properly implement abstract org.eclipse.ui.IPersistableElement getPersistable() method for *external files* and thus can't be properly saved/restored. Eclipse itself can't remember last opened Aptana's external files after restart exactly for same reason. Regards, Andrei

issue 7 (Fails to load in Aptana Andretti (Based on eclipse 3.4)) commented on by tsummerall   -   So that's it! I don't use projects, I use files opened arbitrarily from any place on my disk. Does Extended VS Presentation only work with files that are part of a project? (I made a project to try it with and, as you describe, it works fine.) I apologize for my ignorance.

issue 7 (Fails to load in Aptana Andretti (Based on eclipse 3.4)) commented on by iloveeclipse   -   Hi Anonymous, you have either no luck or somehow doing everything wrong. Create new web project -> "helloWorld" -> create new html file -> "A.html" -> open it. Create another file in same project -> "B.html" -> open it. Right click on the editor tab -> Save tab list as session -> "New_session" -> done. Close all editors. Window->Editing Sessions->Load Session->"New_session" -> done. Both editors are reopened again. Good luck, Andrei

issue 7 (Fails to load in Aptana Andretti (Based on eclipse 3.4)) commented on by tsummerall   -   Ok, clearly I deserve derision since I haven't the foggiest idea what "p2" is, but thank you for enlightening me that I have to go through the Help menu to install. I have done this, and Extended VS Presentation shows up properly in preferences and in the menus, but unfortunately, yet somehow predictably, its session saving features don't work. You can save a session but when you try to open it later you get a dialog with "No editors to open!". Do you consider that a bug or is Aptana support not something relevant to this plugin? Or is there something else I'm ignorant of that's causing this?

issue 7 (Fails to load in Aptana Andretti (Based on eclipse 3.4)) changed by iloveeclipse   -   Hi Anonymous, You cannot install plugins manually, at least not with Aptana Andretti, or at least NOT by copying plugins to the "plugins" folder. This is why I hate p2, see also http://www.jroller.com/andyl/entry/why_p2_sucks Aptana Adretti uses p2 and thus the only possible way is just to use the "default" crappy and buggy p2 UI. Help->Software updates->available Software->Add site->http://andrei.gmxhome.de/ eclipse -> install -> restart -> use. I've tried and it worked just fine. The errors in the log are default for Aptana, it's just their "usual" quality. Please consider to fix your (partly wrong) comment on the http:// www.eclipseplugincentral.com/modules.php? op=modload&name=Web_Links&file=index&req=viewlink&cid=586 page. Closing this as invalide (user error/wont fix). Regards, Andrei

issue 6 ([PATCH] Add option in preferences so that ESC does not close...) reported by fabiofz   -   I really missed an option to stop ESC from closing my detached windows. Especially in Pydev, the interactive console uses tabs to stop a completion and clearing the contents of a line, so, it's very disruptive that ESC closes the detached window. What is the expected output? What do you see instead? I expected ESC not to close my detached windows. What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? Eclipse 3.5m6, Windows XP Please provide any additional information below. The attached patch adds an option in the preferences to stop the ESC from closing the editor by ignoring such an event. I also took the liberty of adding me as a contributor in the docs (which is also related to the other patches I sent).

issue 5 ([PATCH] Keep the toolbar always visible and don't loose the ...) reported by fabiofz   -   Closing all the editors will not leave the choice to reopen a closed editor, because that list is cleared and the toolbar is no longer drawn. What is the expected output? What do you see instead? I expected the toolbar to be always visible (as in the default 3.4 presentation) and with all the editors I closed. What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? 1.5.1, Windows XP Please provide any additional information below. The attached patch makes the list of closed editors static and no longer disposes of it (so, it's kept across the created presentations). Note that this also means that if multiple eclipse windows are open, that list is shared, but I don't see that an actual drawback. Also, it always makes the layout, thus showing the toolbar, even when it's invisible or empty (which is the same behavior that the default Eclipse presentation has in 3.4)
