Installation instructions

  • Download Siphon-version.deb
  • Copy on your iPhone
  • Install
  • dpkg -i Siphon-version.deb
    apt-get -y -f install

Old process <= 2.1.0 rc 1

  • Download Siphon-version.deb
  • Copy on your iPhone
  • Install
  • dpkg -i Siphon-version.deb
  • Install Preferences
  • cd /Applications/Siphon.app
    ./Siphon --installPrefBundle

Removing instructions

  • Uninstall Siphon
  • apt-get -y autoremove com.googlecode.siphon

Old process <= 2.1.0 rc 1

  • Remove Preferences
  • cd /Applications/Siphon.app
    ./Siphon --removePrefBundle
    cd
  • Uninstall Siphon
  • apt-get remove com.googlecode.siphon

Regenerate Spring Board's system

Regenerate Spring Board's system application installation icon cache. This will cause newly installed/removed .app bundles to appear/disappear on the icon list.

su mobile
uicache

or

sudo -u mobile uicache

Dependencies

  • Open SSH : Connect on your device by ssh.
  • UIKit Tools : Regenerate Spring Board with uicache.
  • APT Strict : Install/Uninstall with apt-get
  • Sudo : (optional)

  • PreferenceLoader : Load settings, and they are always displayed.

After the installation, I can't see the Siphon app in my app list. The folder appear in /Applications, but nothing else. I tried to restart my iphone. Iphone fw : 2.2(5G77). Many thanks.

I uninstalled it from cydia and I install it from Cydia... It works. I'll the app. Many thanks.

I tried it, installs fine and even registers, but when i try to call sipphon crashes. Is there anything else needed.

For those missing apt-get, install Apt 0.7 Strict from Cydia ;-)

Also, for those missing the icon, type "su mobile" to login as mobile ...

Then type "uicache" and "exit" ... Siphon should now appear.
