This BW variable redesign engine improves the old process of defining BW variables for customer exits in SAP. Some of the new design benefits include elimination of the need for a control process by a BW operations team, elimination of changing the include in the user exit function module EXIT_SAPLRRS0_001, and no need for timing and coordination between developers doing development at the same time. Most importantly, the new process also will prevent one development error from shutting down all of reporting in production.
