Installation of the history editor plugin
Featured Requirements
InstallationThe install process is straightforward. After you have downloaded the proper version from the download page (either ANSI or UNICODE, depending on the Miranda version, you are running), just unzip the plugin DLL into the \plugins folder of your Miranda installation. Prior to installing the plugin, you should exit Miranda and restart it after finishing the install process. ExampleAssuming, you have installed Miranda in 'C:\Program Files\Miranda IM', the plugin DLL must be copied to 'C:\Program Files\Miranda IM\plugins'. Verify that the installation was successfulStart Miranda and open the options dialog. Navigate to the Plugins node and make sure that the History Editor (historyeditor2.dll) appears in the list of running plugins. A green dot will indicate a successfully loaded and started plugin while a red dot will indicate a failure while loading the plugin. If you see this, you probably did one of the following things wrong:
Notes about ANSI vs. UNICODE buildsMiranda comes in two different builds. The ANSI build is suitable for all versions of Windows, beginning with Windows 95. The preferred version, however, is the UNICODE build which works on Windows 2000 or later. This build has many advantages such easier localization (independent of the system locale setting) and the ability to send and receive UNICODE messages. Most users should (and do) run the UNICODE build while the ANSI build is required for people still running Windows 95, 98 or Me. |
The historyeditor2.dll addon is missing from the download page, and I really need it right now. Please share the file!
I also would appreciate if the file can be downloaded in the download section! Thank you very much!
