Discussion of the NZB index sites Sick Beard supports
Featured
Updated May 20, 2010 by midgetspy

For instructions on how to set up your config for the search providers please see the ConfigHelp page.

NZBs.org

http://www.nzbs.org - Account required, free but registrations are closed

Provides both new and old episodes via RSS/API.

NZBMatrix.com

http://www.nzbmatrix.com - Open registration, costs ~$10 for lifetime access

Provides both new and old episodes, but RSS/API requires a VIP account and the RSS/API has been broken or down frequently lately.

NZBs'R'Us

http://www.nzbsrus.com - Account required, free & open registration

Provides only new episodes, can't find any missed/backlog episodes

Bin-Req

http://www.bin-req.com - No account required

Provides only new episodes, can't find any missed/backlog episodes

I'd like the possibility to add manual rss feeds (like nzbindex.nl), so it's not mandatory to register to one of the search providers

TVNZB is dead, the admin of it went AWOL for 3 months while the servers died, then the domain expired. Pretty unlikely it will return.

Newzbin is sketchy, they are adding reports, but in a limited fashion. Who knows what will happen with this one.

NZBMatrix seems to be the best solution at the moment. NZBs.org is free, but as it says above its a fairly 'raw' index and it can be a bit slow sometimes.

newzbin is back?

Comment by orangepe...@gmail.com, Jun 23, 2010

any plans to bring back newzbin support or is the general consensus stay away from newzbin2?

Comment by kurtcall...@gmail.com, Jul 8, 2010

Is there a way to make sickebard use https for nzbmatrix?

Comment by jes...@gmail.com, Jul 21, 2010

Would really like to see newzbin.com support back in the mix.

Comment by leon...@gmail.com, Aug 2, 2010

I'm getting loads of these. My details I have double checked and it seems fine.

2010-08-02 10:38:52.739000 CP Server Thread-2 :: Error trying to load NZBs.org RSS feed: no element found: line 1, column 0

Comment by Tophic...@gmail.com, Aug 3, 2010

I am also getting that same error with NZBS.org RSS. Any idea on how to fix?

Comment by project member midgetspy, Aug 4, 2010

Make an issue and post a log and I will take a look.

Comment by oleinfi...@gmail.com, Aug 7, 2010

can I config for use with Forte Agent ?

Comment by project member midgetspy, Aug 9, 2010

If it can download NZBs and supports a watch folder/black hole, then yes.

Comment by mrt...@gmail.com, Aug 17, 2010

When I click on "search" on an episode the logs get this error:

2010-08-17 16:15:26.727000 CP Server Thread-11 :: Error while searching NZBs, skipping: argument of type 'NoneType?' is not iterable

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Comment by rob.bruce70@gmail.com, Aug 17, 2010

MrTivo?, these type of issues should be put into a new issue, not the wiki.

Comment by andre...@gmail.com, Oct 5, 2010

just spotted this on Nzbs.org homepage:

'Authentication is now will soon be required for RSS'

Does this mean Sickbeard needs to be changed to include username/password when configuring nzbs.org as a search provider?

Comment by travcur...@gmail.com, Jan 29, 2011

Can we change the Nzbmatrix feed so it also looks in the Documentaries subcategories (ie add '53,9' to line 71 of the code)? Some shows (for example 'Nova') are listed there and not under TV.

Comment by BMcClure937, Feb 8, 2011

The NZBMatrix index has been acting up lately. :(

Comment by prj.vand...@gmail.com, Mar 7, 2011

Maybe this page needs some updating. Sick Beard now supports an extra bunch of providers ;)

Comment by m.vanlij...@gmail.com, Apr 8, 2011

Can't find the Binary Network in the settings anymore? has it been removed?

Comment by RichardB...@gmail.com, Aug 24, 2011

You can use https://nzb.su via Newznab like so...

Comment by junalmeida, Aug 30, 2011

I've implemented a custom torrent provider (http://kat.ph). I'm currently testing it, seems to be working with my series db. Is there a way to share this code with you?

Thanks.

Comment by The.Inne...@gmail.com, Dec 5, 2011

http://omgwtfnzbs.com is open for signup, accounts are restricted but have the option to upgrade for unlimited access.

would be a good alternate search provider to include? api/feeds work great in sabnzbd, be even better if sickbeard incorporated the site :)

Comment by faxclinic, May 14, 2012

http://www.bin-req.com/ also dead now
