There's a (crazy) workaround to deal with the current issue with sickbeard not talking to current Growl (1.2) on OSX machines.

http://code.google.com/p/sickbeard/issues/detail?id=112#c15

Once new growl (1.3) is released, this prob should go away.

Is Growl on OSX still a problem with Sick Beard? I can't get it to work... (I didn't try the crazy workaround above)

Seems like it's still not working on OSX. Tried it. Hope Growl 1.3 will come soon.

Comment by samuel.d...@gmail.com, May 17, 2011

Confirmed that it's definitely not working on OSX.

Confirmed (again) that it's not working on OSX with Growl v1.2.2 and latest SickBeard? (check comment's timestamp)

New version of Growl for OSX is out and now it works!

Doesn't seem to work with Growl for Linux, Couchpotato does work with Growl for Linux, any ideas?

I can receive test and the start download notifications, but not finished downloads. Thoughts?

Comment by proper.c...@gmail.com, Jan 27, 2012

I dont receive anything but the test notifications, not even "start download".

On 1.2.2 of Growl on 10.6.8 and nothing. Firewall disabled, network notifications enabled, password set. Tried both tcp and udp ports for giggles.

Same here, not working. Using Growl 1.2.2 (Have to since it is not running OSX 10.7). Not working.

Comment by nassos.m...@gmail.com, Apr 15, 2012
