FAQ

1. How should I name double episodes?

  • Separating the episodes with a dash (-) should work, or an x in the case of 1x01x02 formats.

2. When SAB calls the post-processing script I get ConfigParser.NoSectionError: No section: 'SickBeard'.

  • Make sure you have an autoProcessTV.cfg and it contains the correct config options (see autoProcessTV.cfg.sample for an example)

3. 'git pull' gives me an error like {{{error: Your local changes to 'data/interfaces/default/config_episodedownloads.tmpl' would be overwritten by merge. Aborting. Please, commit your changes or stash them before you can merge.}}}

  • msysgit for Windows has a bug where it thinks all your files have been modified if you have autocrlf on - turn it off in Git settings and you can pull.

Extras

Inside a tv show, create a sub folder titled "Extras" and all of it's contents will be ignored by Sick Beard.

This is good for those dvdrip extras that are not specials (aka, they do not have a season or an episode in it's filename).

is sickbeard what i would use to add shows i want to watch?

how do i add shows? is the add show for shows i want sickbeard to find and download, or for shows that are already downloaded? i see an add folder that i guess adds all the show in it. does that mean sickbeard will try to download all of those shows?

I'm new to this but this is what I do.. To add a show enter the path to it's folder in the single show box, if no folder is there one will be created. Then, if neccessary, choose which series you want, hit continue and wait while sickbeard grabs the data.. Then, on the home page, click on the show's title and choose the ones you want,the quality etc. sickbeard will only then start the download process via SABnzbd+ in my case. Ainer.org has a great tutorial.

I have created a how-to-install guide for Sick-Beard under Windows XP using the GIT method. If you want to have a look how I did it you can see it here: http://www.pintilie.co.uk/sick-beard-installation-under-windows-yes-its-an-application-not-facial-hair/165/

I added a lot of series, but a lot of them don't show in the coming episodes. What can I do about that?
