SVN Access removed.

Hello, I've decided to remove all files from the svn. The whole project will move to http://scstats.tk/ except for the downloads and the wiki. When the transfer is completed the project will be cleared, and the wiki will only host general information, some HowTos etc.

New Website/Blog

The project OFFICIAL site has moved from here to a blog on blogger, and 2 days ago was moved again to http://scstats.tk/ which hosts a site/blog (wordpress based) and allows us to introduce features like "Latest News" and "Version Check" on the newly introduced admin panel of v0.5.beta3.

v0.5 Beta 3 is up

The new beta version was uploaded a couple minutes earlier from this post, and you can read all about it here:http://scstats.tk/v05b3post. That's all for now!

Plans for v0.5 beta 3

Another month of project's inactivity! Right now I'm programming v0.5 beta 3, which will have the installer for admin area configuration. I'm thinking to implement a simple encryption for the Shoutcast's server password, but it may not come till the stable 0.5 version. Or even v1.0...

Admin area

As I already stated a few lines above, I am working on the admin area. It will not have lots of functions, since this script is destined to be used on your site. In the future, when the script gets more advanced (which probably means only unix/linux servers), you'll have the ability to start/stop/restart the server, modify the config file etc.

Multiserver Functionality

The multiserver functionality will be implemented later (probably when there's nothing else to add to the single server version) and you'll be able to:

  • Use it for a clustered network of servers (which means x{1} servers for a radio station).
  • Use it for a different number of stations (which means x{1} servers for x{1} radio stations)
This will also make it possible for shoutcast hosts to use it as a general control panel for all their users (which will need a lot of planing, beta-testing and other stuff).

That's all for now, gotta go back coding. A new announcement will follow the release of v0.5 beta 3.

{1}: x equals the number of the intended servers/stations

31/01/2010

After one month of inactivity, I finally had some free time and I updated the v0.5 beta version. We are one step closer to v0.5 stable! You can download v0.5 beta 2 from svn. It includes an updated installer, images, and index.html redirects on all folders to singleshoutcast.php page. The installer so far handles greatly the pls/asx/config file creations.

Version v0.4 is up on the downloads section. v0.5 will be available on svn shortly. v0.5 will feature an advanced installer, which will also create local playlist file (a pls and an asx file, I'm thinking about m3u), and changes in the visual side of the script: Player icons on the site!
As I am writing these lines, a few minutes before midnight, I'm working on v0.5 beta 1.

v0.4 beta 4

SVN is now hosting v0.4 beta4. This is the last beta, hold on till the last bugtesting is on its way. 1/1/2009 is near, and the new version will be up and running! Have fun.

SVN hosts old stables

Now you can download any stable version from the SVN system. Look here for more info

Project under major changes

Shoutcast Server Stats project is undergoing a major change. With v0.4 ready to be uploaded, I have started working on v0.5. Since the files got large, I have decided to move each function into a seperate file in a folder named "functions". This way an "update" script will be easy to implement, on small changes.

v0.4 Beta 3 is now available through svn. It is considered unstable. Use it only for debugging, or to take a taste of the upcoming version.
Get it:

svn checkout http://shoutcaststats.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/latest-unstable/ shoutcaststats-read-only

Language checker has been rewritten, but it could use another rewrite using an array check. Maybe in a future version.

v0.4 beta2

v0.4 beta2 is available through SVN! The code is not yet tested properly and it will change before releasing the stable version. See below how to get it.

Nightly builds available

Feel free to download the latest nightly build from our svn repository.

svn checkout http://shoutcaststats.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ shoutcaststats-read-only

The code is considered unstable! Hasn't gone through proper testing. The only code you should use in a public environment is downloadable via "Downloads" area.

Version 0.4 features are completed

I have just finished coding (almost) all features for v0.4. I'm testing it right now, and may/will change the code a little bit.
Remaining: Chosing between language flags or text, language check rewrite, commenting & licensing installer file.

Google Group available

A Google Group has been created. Anyone who wishes to join this project will be more than welcome to use it, and they will be able to help with the project's evolution.

First of all, merry christmas everyone! It's 00:09 in Greece while I'm writing these lines, and Shoutcast Server Stats v0.3 is already online. No bugs reported/found, so no bugs fixed. Furthermore, This version is available under GPLv3. You can find a copy of the full license inside the zip file.

Secondly, next version (0.4) is already under construction. I am saying 1/1/2010 as a release date, but it may be earlier (or later). Install script was locally tested and it works fine.

Last but not least, it's going to be a challenge to make it multilingual, since I already have added the variables, but who knows... I'll make it! :)

Have fun!

  • v0.3 was successfully tested, packed, and it's ready to be released! (In a few hours)

Till then, you can see a screenshot of the beta installation system which will be used in v0.4. It's simple, easy to understand and it needs a makeover!

  • v0.4 will be available in the first days of the new decade (in a few days:P), and it will be supporting:
  1. The installer system
  2. Some basic colors (user-editable)
  3. Multilingual Interface

  • For the multilingual interface I will release a file which everyone who wants to translate can use it as a template, and it will be included in the next version after sending it. (Version 0.4 will support English and Greek languages). Complete Roadmap...
