Left Half - alt+cmd+left arrow Right Half - alt+cmd+right arrow

those are default shortcuts to switch between tabs. Great application, but those two needs to be changed. Thank you!

I agree to tective.

Idea: add an option to switch modifiers (for all shortcuts) between alt+cmd and ctrl+alt+cmd.

Comment by mig2...@gmail.com, Apr 20, 2010

How do you access preferences? I can see from the source code that they exist, but there is no option in the menu.

Comment by derek.punsalan, Apr 20, 2010

Have to agree with tective on the the default hotkeys needing to be changed. I spend a lot of time in TextMate? which uses Option + CMD + (arrows) to switch between tabs.

Comment by dewetblo...@gmail.com, Apr 21, 2010

I use Google Chrome and now I can't switch between tabs. How do I change the hotkeys?

Comment by kevinvau...@gmail.com, Apr 21, 2010

In chrome/firefox and many others, cmd-shift left and right bracket will cycle through your tabs as well.

It's a great application. Just to let you know - it resizes browser windows, PDF windows correctly, but Entourage windows are not resized properly, though they are shifted to the correct area.

Hi all, We realize that modifying the hotkeys is a hot request. We are working very hard to bring this feature into the next version of the application.

As a temporary work around to switch between Google Chrome tabs, you could use CTRL+TAB and SHIFT+CTRL+TAB.

We appreciate your patience in this matter.

love this! but it takes up a lot of space in the top bar... small icon or option to remove please?

Comment by mondu...@gmail.com, May 27, 2010

great tool! well done! what about a shortcut to move the windows on the screen (so I can move a window between displays in a multi-monitor set-up). thanks!

definitely the shortcuts must be configurable, preferably from the Keyboard Shortcuts mechanism in Preferences.

Comment by briana...@gmail.com, Jun 17, 2010

+1 for being able to set your own key combos. Command+up/down moves you in and out of folders in the Finder. Otherwise, LOVE IT!

Comment by alberted...@austin.rr.com, Jun 20, 2010

This is so needed and intuitive, thank you. It doesn't work with Adobe products. With Bridge (CS5 or CS4) it positions the top left corner of the window, but does not resize, so the bottom right corner can be off the screen. With Photoshop, even the top left is not positioned accurately. 10.6.4 on MacBook? Pro 2009.

Comment by michael.f.ellis@gmail.com, Jul 3, 2010

Nice tool. Works with almost everything on my MacBook? laptop running Snow Leopard. Doesn't work correctly with windows in second display (external monitor).

Comment by khantoza...@gmail.com, Jul 14, 2010

Maximize (Command+Option+F) clashes with search shortcut in mail. Can't wait to see configurable shortcuts.

Thank you for the app.

Comment by Foos...@gmail.com, Aug 22, 2010

Is there still hope for customizable hotkeys?

Comment by jpricepe...@gmail.com, Sep 20, 2010

Is there a way to undo the full screen hotkey? Or can a command be created to set the window to center, but centered from the top/bottom and right/left? Right now it is just centered left/right. Thanks for the app

I would really appreciate if shiftit could move windows between monitors. Currently is not possible.

Coming from gnu/linux with openbox based environment the OSX window managing seems pretty primitive to me. So, thank you guys for shiftit. It is really useful.

I have been driving myself insane on OS X for four months (have to use it at work) because I didn't have this feature. Thank you for creating this program! I haven't had any conflicts that I couldn't figure out a solution for but being able to customize the shortcuts would be kind of nifty. Again, thank you for your efforts! They do not go unappreciated, especially for us native Windows users.
