Or at least, if it does, it hides them very well. After downloading the above from

http://sharpdx.org/upload/SharpDX-Full-2.5.0.exe

and running it, I have a C:\Program Files (x86)\SharpDX directory, containing only the SharpDX binaries... and no samples. The installer never mentions where the samples will be put, and there is not even a SharpDXSampleDir environment variable. If they are installed, I can't find them :-)

(I need them because I am trying to update my SharpDX app to 2.5.0, and my old "Arial.tkfnt" file is no longer loading; it gives a "SpriteFontData version [0x60] is not supported. Expecting [0x100]" error. I am hoping the samples have a prebuilt .tkfnt with version 0x100....)

Thanks for any clarification.

(And to be clear, I do consider this a bug -- at least a usability bug. I am a big SharpDX fan but I am more confused than I think you would want me, or others like me, to be!)

When running the installer, it asks for folders on separate tabs (there are 3 tabs in total - components to install, sharpdx bin folder and samples folder), by default it is set to C:\Users\<current user>\Documents\Visual Studio 2012\Projects\SharpDX\.

Regarding Arial.tkfnt - the fonts are compiled automatically during project compilation and you don't have to keep the prebuilt font file. Take a look in the samples for details.
