As DirectX11.2 is a superset of DirectX11.1, you should be able use it from Windows 7, but you just can't use features introduced specifically for 11.2.
Hi all, I've noticed that the build configuration for DirectX11.1 has been removed. Why is that so? Now the default for Windows 7 is DirectX11.0. However a subset of DirectX11.1 is available also for Windows 7.

Most importantly, Direct2D 1.1 and other D3D features cannot be used from Windows 7 anymore.
Would it be possible to reintroduce a DX 11.1 build configuration for W7? Or is it still possible to target DX11.1 in some other way from W7?
