issue 148 (Upload history is missing in recent versions) reported by stylishgeekblog   -   Later versions of Shakespeer (0.9.11, for example) are missing a page for upload history. You can only see sharing at the moment it happens. It would be useful to be able to tell which files people are accessing.

issue 146 (Bluetooth mouse unresponsive since 0.9.11) reported by jankassens   -   Since Shakespeer 0.9.11 the Bluetooth mouse got quite unresponsive when a file is fast (4-5 MB/s) uploaded/downloaded (connected via WLAN). Since the CPU is not on 100% I suspect a full IO stack or something. I checked 0.9.10 and it doesn't have this issue.

issue 145 (Invalid port in hub address) reported by dmitriid   -   What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Refresh hublist with http://hublist.openhublist.org/hublist.xml.bz2 2. Try to connect to any hub What is the expected output? What do you see instead? All you get is "Invalid port in hub address" for any address What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? 0.9.11 on Snow Leopard Please provide any additional information below. Forums say that this may be cause by an extra space after the port number. In my case, however, this was caused by the fact that hub addresses in the list look like this: dchub://ip:port If I delete "dchub://", Shakespeer connects. I believe that Shakespeer should do that automatically

issue 49 (Memory Leaks) commented on by hwaara   -   I don't think downloading a large file list is related to the fix from r483 though, which only deals with search results. IIRC, the file list handling in SPFileListController.m (and filelist.c) looks quite heavy. It could be that there are leaks, or it could be that it's just using a lot of memory for huge huge filelists (which wouldn't be all that surprising). It's hard to say without further investigation.

issue 49 (Memory Leaks) commented on by markus.magnuson   -   I am thinking that maybe we should push out a 0.9.12 release with these fixes, even though nothing else has changed much. It seems to be kind of critical for some users.

issue 49 (Memory Leaks) commented on by matthew.r.weaver   -   I have noticed that when downloading a large file list from someone, at the point where the download completes and the list is displayed, memory use increases at a ridiculous rate. Watching through activity monitor, memory use went from ~20MB to 2.09GB when opening a file list of someone sharing ~5TB.

Download selected files, selected a large number of files/folders 2. 3. What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Normal performance expected regardless of download queue. Large download queue makes performance very slow and main window takes very long time to load when starting up. What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? 0.9.11 on MAC OS 10.5.7 Please provide any additional information below. A great feature would be a setting for maximum simultaneous downloads.

Could it pe the problem? is there any idea why sphashd doesnt disable SIGPIPE signal handling? What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? 0.9.11, cli, Linux

issue 132 (sphubd share_tth.c function handle_tth_available_notificatio...) commented on by martin.hedenfalk   -   The patch effectively disables rejecting duplicates from the share. Only files with the same TTH and the same path within a share are considered. This defeats the whole point of duplicates. On the other hand, maybe it's the idea that is flawed... What is needed to properly support this is some sort of alias or soft link within a share, that doesn't affect the total share size (since that seems so important to hub owners). The result is that you will end up with two or more files with the same TTH in your share. Requests based on TTH will serve the last scanned file. For uploading the content will be the same. In searches, the last scanned file's name will be returned. Some background: The tth database has two indices: the primary is TTH and points to a tth_entry. This struct has an active_inode that specifies which actual file is shared, if there are duplicates. The second index is on inode (actually a comination of inode and size, see SHARE_STAT_TO_INODE) and maps inodes to TTHs. You can thus have multiple files (inodes) with the same TTH (ie, duplicates), but only one _active_ inode that uses a TTH. If a share is removed, another inode in another share can claim the TTH and become the active inode for it. Regarding the original bug about the filename not appearing in the status message, that is probably a segfault waiting to happen. The TTH available notification is handled both by share_tth.c and in ui_list.c. If there is a duplicate in share_tth.c, the notification->file struct will be freed. When the same notification is handled in ui_list.c, the file struct points to freed memory. A quick fix is to make sure ui_list.c handles the notification before share_tth.c. HTH -martin

issue 133 (sphubd doesnt understand nonUTF8 filenames) commented on by zintis.p...@e-mail.lv   -   forgot to mention - filesystem is ext3. why is it important? if someone wants to share files on USB disc with NTFS or FAT32? It least Latvian language filenames in windows are not coded in unicode. It makes difficult to use the same big USB disk on windows, Linux and MAC. it looks like the same problem is with ntfs-3g. they also think that everything is coded in UTF-8 :)? My goal is not to see a fast solution but rather warn users about the situation that can arise.

issue 132 (sphubd share_tth.c function handle_tth_available_notificatio...) changed by hwaara   -   However, all hashed files seem to be stored based on TTH, so I'm not sure what consequences adding a duplicate TTH will have; will it overwrite the last one? See tthdb.c line 397 (tth_store_lookup) Martin?
