FAQ
FAQQ. I want to remove the data it copied from Salesforce.com First and foremost, before you delete any contacts, events or todo's on your Mac, stop SF3 and delete the application, otherwise on the next sync it will perform the same deletes in Salesforce.com. Q. There's no related To information in iCal, is it broken? The iCal objects for Events and Todo's have nowhere to store the Related To data that Salesforce.com can track, and so it can't be synchronized over. Q. I just want a simple one way Salesforce -> Mac distribution, is that possible ? SF3 is explicitly designed to do 2 way synchronization of data. Spanning Salesforce will let you subscribe to your salesforce.com calendar from iCal, which is a one way publication.
Q. What version of Salesforce.com do I need ? As of v0.62, SF3 Works will all Salesforce.com Editions, earlier versions require an edition that includes API access. Q. SF3 is broken, why can't i login? SF3 uses the API to access Salesforce.com, the login process for the API may require you to use your security token in conjunction with your password. for more info start with this intro to the Identity Confirmation features Q. What version version of OSX do I need ? v0.52 and higher was built & tested on OSX 10.5 (aka Leopard), it should run on 10.4.8 (or better) but i have not tested that. v0.48 was built & tested on OSX 10.4 (aka Tiger), this version has calendar sync issues on 10.5 (aka Leopard) Its extremely likely that at some point soon, new versions of SF3 will require OSX 10.5 (aka Leopard) Q. Where can i suggest new features ? Use the Issues tab to suggest new features, enhancements or bugs. |

sounds like a great application. Would be good to implement a one-way synchronisation option (from SalesForce? to Apple PIM's but NOT the other way around) to eliminate the risk that a deletion in the Apple PIM's corrupts the SalesForce? database...
