Toolbars in Microsoft Internet Explorer

Search toolbars can be used within Internet Explorer to assist in the user's web experience. Microsoft have toolbars such as the Windows Live Toolbar and the Bing Toolbar from which a user can conduct a search.

This application will parse the history files of these toolbars to show the searches conducted and associated information.

Toolbars Handled

Below is a list of toolbars which should be handled and the name of the history files.

The history files are user specific and will be found in the following folders:

\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Search Enhancement Pack\Search Box Extension

\Users\<user>\AppData\LocalLow\Microsoft\Search Enhancement Pack\Search Box Extension

Bing Toolbar

Windows Live Toolbar

history.dat
