Introduction

Service to aggregate user's RDF data and to access to them by the SPARQL end point. On the basis of semap we can create numerous semantic services to work with our information in a new semantic level instead using files.

The main idea about the semantic bus vision - insert data once, use everywhere. Used RDF format of data releases them from any applications. Try to use the Semantic Web technologies in your desktop now.

Requirements

• J2SE 5+;
• 512 Mb of RAM.

It independents from any OS but tested on Ubuntu 6.06/7.04/7.10 and Windows 2000/XP/Vista mainly.

• SPARQL end-point in terms of RESTful HTTP API;
• Expanded by eclipse equinox OSGi plug-ins architecture;
• Main semantic interchange formats supporting: N-Triples, XML/RDF, N3, Turtle, (X)HTML and others.

2008/10/08 - we are temporary stopped working on the project and have been working on anouther prototype.

2007/11/01 - the initial version of semap RESTful API is available.

2007/08/13 - the initial version of contactserv console tool specification has been completed.

2007/06/23 - we have begun to create a prototype.

2007/05/03 - initial ideas (sorry, in Russian only) about semap was officially public.

2007/04/17 - the day then this project was born.
