What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Try to execute following simple code:
WebDriver driver = new InternetExplorerDriver();
try {
driver.manage().timeouts().implicitlyWait(30, TimeUnit.SECONDS);
System.out.println("Opening web page...");
// Go to the Google Suggest home page
driver.get("https://www.google.com/webhp?complete=1&hl=en");
System.out.println("finding query box...");
// Enter the query string "Cheese"
WebElement query = driver.findElement(By.name("q"));
System.out.println("typing cheese...");
query.sendKeys("Cheese");
} catch(Exception e) {
e.printStackTrace();
} finally {
System.out.println("closing browser");
driver.close();
}
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Browser opens and Cheese typed in the search box.
But instead, browser (IE8 64-bit) opens to google but search box element (named 'q')
is not found.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Selenium beta2 running on Windows 7 64-bit.

This works with no issues in my environment. Please check your Protected Mode settings
(Tools > Internet Options > Security tab). The value should be set to the same value
(either on or off) for all zones.

Thanks for quick respond...
The Protected Mode settings were NOT same for all zone. Once I set then all to be
Protected Mode, it worked like a charm. It also seemed faster then older builds.
I think we can close this bug, since having Protected Mode setting same for all zones
seems like a requirement.
