1. join the mailing list

All svn commits and issue changes are also mailed to the list, so you might want to set up some filters in whatever mail client you are using.

2. set up a development environment

I am using eclipse with the subclipe plugin to develop the contempt code, and I am just using vim to develop the seed code. If you have any suggestions for ways to make the development more IDE neutral, or integrate better in any given development environment, please email the suggestions to the list.

3. download and compile the code

4. follow a tutorial and write a module
