What is the problem? -> It is basically impossible for me to find or look through *my* photographs on Flickr via Scibefire, and insert them in my bloggings. -> Possible notion for a fix: Users could be able to search Flickr by Flickr username too. This could be either: a) in the same current search field, or b) by adding an optional "search by user" field. If (b) is implemented, users could even then go to a specific Flickr account, and search that account for content, all via scribefire It would be great if the field could also default to the last used search term (which, as a photo blogger, I could leave as my Flickr username :) ). This added feature could be convenient for other people, too, besides photographers. Imagine if someone wants to blog about a specific other photographer on Flickr, or a photo group. -> What version of ScribeFire are you using? (This can be found in the Tools > Add-ons dialog box.) I just installed 2.2.1 -> What blogging service are you using (if applicable)? Currently MySpace; also have my own website(s) to renovate, post somewhat on Dailykos, and want to post on Facebook, Blogger and Wordpress. -> What browser are you using (name and version; e.g., Firefox 2.0.0.12)? Currently Firefox 2.0.0.14. -> Are you using Windows, Mac, or Linux? Windows. Thanks for reading. Love the app, and this or something like it that would enable me to go straight to my own Flickr account and pick a photo would make Scribefire just so incredibly useful for me. ~j : ) |

Yes, I agree this would be very useful esp for those who may have more than one blog. Centralizing the image upload/management thru Flickr would be very useful. Flickr has a well-developed API. For example, web-based photo Picnik http://www.picnik.com/ and Photoshop Express https://www.photoshop.com/express/landing.html both integrate quite nicely with Flickr. I think this should be a High Priority enhancement because it would make Scribefire a lot more usable and flexible. |

Have you tried drag and dropping images from your Flickr account web page into the ScribeFire edit window? This embeds a link to the image in your blog post and the image shows up in your edit window as well. This works for me. :-) |
