About scim-avro

scim-avro is the open source project of OmicronLab. It is the port of popular Avro Phonetic Bangla/Bengali typing method to Linux. This software works as an IMEngin (plugin) of Scim. It let users type in English and on-the-fly transliterate them phonetically to Bangla. For example, one can type "ami banglar gan gai" and scim-avro will convert them automatically to "আমি বাংলার গান গাই"
