Schoorbs is a free, GPL, system to make room and resource bookings through a WebGUI using PHP and MySQL/PostgreSQL. Schoorbs is a fork of MRBS. Since then various changes considering security, usability and portability were made.

• View everything per a XHTML 1.1 valid web interface, you use your favorite web browser
• Runs on all servers supporting PHP and MySQL/PostgreSQL.
• Authentication with your existing user database (e.g. Netware, NT Domain, NIS etc.)
• Ensures that conflicting entries cannot be entered

• Selectable Day / Week / Month views
• Multiple auth levels (read-only, user, admin)
• Multiple languages supported (translated to Czech, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish)
• Communication with Schoorbs through a REST-API is also possible, so making own scripts/programs using Schoorbs is possible without using PHP.
• Uses the equal database structure as MRBS, you even could use both in parallel, if you want to evaluate them

History

It was initially a 'Facharbeit'(a scholar work for pupils in an upper class in Germany/Rhineland-Palatine) of Uwe L. Korn. Because the changes to MRBS should/could help others, it is now available public, the changes won't be merged back into MRBS because they are just too big.

The management of this opensource project is now done by XhochY.org/XhochY.com.
