- Here are my settings:
I've installed LoopBe1 (loopback driver) and MidiStation (application). Both are free
and can be found on the internet.
In S2MIDI output device is set to 'LoopBe Internal MIDI' and checkbox 'MIDI Thru' is
checked, in MidiStation input device is set to 'LoopBe Internal MIDI' and output is
some sound producing driver (e.g. 'Microsoft Synthesizer'). This way loopback driver
works as invisible virtual cable between S2MIDI and MidiStation.
See attached screenshots.
Ableton? I'm inspired by the video.

- hi.. i have tested your updated version of S2Midi and have some problems using the
background task part. It seems sending midi datas but not the same as the terminal...
and i can't make it working with ableton live..
Have you ever heard of this before ?
nevertheless..thx for continuing the effort of upgrading this very usefull part of
software ;)
thx

- I've made some improvements and fixed major bugs. Current version is still
experimental, crashes are normal at this stage.
I won't go in the details, just know that MIDI Thru checkbox means:
checked - for loopback drivers, e.g. if you want to pass data to another midi software
unchecked - direct output, produces sound, keep unchecked if you are not sure which
option is right

- Hi!
I've made some minor improvements:
1. user can select an instrument
2. interface is now in the Windows tray (in background)
3. works with loopback midi drivers (output can be used as input in other
midi software)
Further improvements could be send data in other direction (serial port as
output) and over ethernet.
I would like to put the updates to the SVN repository but making a contact
with the project owner is hard (no e-mail or chat?).
Anyway, if anyone is interested, contact me at gmail.
