Rokon is an open source OpenGL 2D game engine for Android mobile devices. It aims to be both incredibly easy to use and flexible. The dream is get many more decent games made for Android mobile devices by giving creatives with limited programming knowledge the tools to produce a high quality hardware accelerated game.
- Efficient yet simple sprite management
- Basic dynamics (movement, rotation etc.)
- Particle emitters
- Sprite modifiers (visual effects)
- Optimized background objects (tile engine, fixed, parralax etc.)
- TTF font rendering
- Fully integrated physics engine
- Simplified hardware interactions (accelerometer, vibrations etc.)
- Audio framework
- Fullscreen post-processing (transitions etc.)
- Simple enough to be used immediately, but powerful enough to create a highly polished commercial game.
