After Marsyas is successfully installed, In the Mood can be installed with ./configure && make && make install. First LaunchIf everything went well, the first time you start Rhythmbox and enable the "In the Mood" plugin, a new playlist (called, surprisingly enough, "In the Mood") should appear. However, In the Mood needs to first build a database of feature vectors before it can function. This can be started by either clicking on "Begin Analysis" in the plugin configuration dialogue, or by restarting Rhythmbox, which will cause a popup to appear to remind you that the analysis is not complete. Song analysis is a fairly intensive and time-consuming procedure and will take anywhere from half a second to 3 seconds per song. Once this one-time analysis is complete, In the Mood can be started by dragging a song onto the "In the Mood" playlist. This should cause a new song to be appended to the playlist. When the new song starts playing, another will be added and so on. By default, In the Mood picks the next song based on the initial 'seed' song, but if you would prefer an evolving playlist that chooses the next song based on the last in the list, you can select 'evolution' mode in the plugin configuration.
