What's the URL of the page containing the problem?

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Fill the field 'Server' with a non standard url: e.g. rb.my-domain.internal
2. Save the configuration

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The configuration is rejected.

A consequence of this is that all links in emails fail as I am forced to enter a url
into the server field that does not get resolved on our network.
This didn't seem to occur in one of the beta versions
