I selected a text with around 500 words 2. I measured the time needed for this text 3. Reasy was set to 500 (speed) and 1 word. The time was 35 sec so the speed was around 1000 words/min. I didn't play with them at all. I actually found those preferences in the reasy_prefs.js file. When I changed them to the sizes you sent me it seemed to work fine. It appears as though the original svn has those as their preferences. A quick peak into the project source code shows the settings as -10000. Hope that helps things!
