Sorry for the false alert. When using Reasy yesterday I was running data loading application (not in Firefox) in the background and now I think that this might have slowed down my pc. I didn't think about it yesterday. Best regards and thanks for Reasy! Rafal

issue 68 (The text is displayed with a different speed than set in the...) commented on by robbie.h...@gmail.com   -   Hi, I tried your experiment with the attached file and didn't get your results, it seemed to be working as expected. Please can you repeat the experiment with the attached file and give me all of your settings (type about:config into the address bar of firefox, set filter to reasy and copy anything in bold font)? Which version of Reasy are you using?

issue 68 (The text is displayed with a different speed than set in the...) reported by r.s.bucz...@gmail.com   -   What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. I selected a text with around 500 words 2. I measured the time needed for this text 3. Reasy was set to 500 (speed) and 1 word. The time was 35 sec so the speed was around 1000 words/min. With speed 250 and 2 words in line I got the time 1 min so the speed was 500 words/min What is the expected output? What do you see instead? I assumed that the speed is in words/minute but seeing the results I am not sure. Could you please explain what are the units of the speed and if words/min check it and correct? What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? Win XP, Firefox 10.0.2 Please provide any additional information below.

issue 67 (Try this for your cross platform) changed by robbie.h...@gmail.com   -   Hi, if you'd like to read text from the clipboard, copy these two attached files into the same directory somewhere, open the html file in Firefox and paste into the text box at the top. When the text box loses focus it should be copied into the webpage and you can use Reasy as normal. Reasy is implemented with Javascript, so there is no workaround for javascript blockers, but I think I can have a look at fixing the problems with large numbers of spaces.

issue 67 (Enter one-line summary) reported by panchita...@gmail.com   -   What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. There are large spaces between sentences or paragraphs that the plugin don't catch 2. The plugin doesn't work with some kind of javascript blocker or some websites with abblockplus or imageblocker activated 3. What is the expected output? What do you see instead? What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? Please provide any additional information below. I don't write for complaining. I was only guessing if you are going to do a windows/mac version of the plugin. I'd like to load any text in the clipboard of the operative system, instead of browser, and see the pop up merging for reading. Is it that possible? Thanks

issue 66 (Line width defined by characters, not words) reported by sz.krzem...@gmail.com   -   I'm using Reasy 0.0.14. And as someone mentioned on the FF addon page, it's vital to have an option for defining line width in other way, as the words are often too long and they get out of focus. Good job as far, though, cheers!

issue 65 (keywords should be treated differently) reported by hoodoobr...@hotmail.it   -   I think the main problem of speed reading software is that the words like names that we must read letter by letter have the same time of the other words. Maybe we can use a orthographic corrector to identify the key words and give to the reader more time. Thanks a lot! your software is a revolution! Bye, Giacomo

issue 64 (Problem when changing the "skip forward" key) reported by c...@online.de   -   Using 0.0.13 I noticed that when I change the forward/backward keys, then 1. they are not automatically cast to uppercase in the dialog, like the action key and 2. the action key gets sometimes replaced with what I entered as fast forward key. Also, I think "J"=backward and "K"=forward may be better candidates for the default keys since they are easier to type and used by VI and a lot of the Google paces (e.g. Google reader, Google+) so many people know them already.

issue 63 (Incompatible with FF5) commented on by bryanwar...@gmail.com   -   Somehow they all got changed to -10000. I didn't play with them at all. I actually found those preferences in the reasy_prefs.js file. When I changed them to the sizes you sent me it seemed to work fine. It appears as though the original svn has those as their preferences. A quick peak into the project source code shows the settings as -10000. Hope that helps things!

I'm particularly interested to see what you've got for (can you try setting it to the values in brackets to see if it dodges your problems): extensions.reasy.height (200) extensions.reasy.left (100) extensions.reasy.top (100) extensions.reasy.width (400)

issue 63 (Incompatible with FF5) commented on by bryanwar...@gmail.com   -   It seems to be "working" but it shows up in a random position all over the browser window. It's usually up at the top lfet and the background is too small for all of the text so the text being presented spills out of the presentation area. I tried it on various sites to make sure it wasn't being overridden by a certain sites rules. Very strange problem since you didn't really change any of the underlying workings... Looks like it's getting there though. BTW, the extensions folder on a Mac is in the (user)/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/(the users profile)/extensions/ Pretty well hidden. Thanks again for all of your work!

issue 63 (Incompatible with FF5) commented on by robbie.h...@gmail.com   -   I refactored the namespace which meant that the context menu wasn't wired up any more, thanks for catching this so soon. I have fixed this and uploaded another version (0.0.13) that is awaiting review. If you want to be able to update to the latest version from source without doing all the zipping stuff, put a file called '{fcff419f-5bfb-40cd-b52c-8f55dc2d0511}' in the folder where your other extensions have installed (not sure where this will be in OS X, but on Windows it's 'C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\extensions'. Set the contents of the file be the path to your SVN checkout. I will try to remember to make tags each time I do a new version, then you can get the new version by switching your checkout to the corresponding branch. Thanks for looking at this so soon, it helps to get this stuff out the way while it's fresh in my mind, and I've got a bit of spare time to do it just at the moment.

issue 63 (Incompatible with FF5) commented on by bryanwar...@gmail.com   -   Couldn't seem to get it to work. I'm not able to check out 0.0.11 since I'm not a member of the project but I was able to get 0.0.12 and then compress it into an xpi file and get it installed but, when I select a bunch of words and click on the Reasy contextual menu icon nothing happens. It could be something that I've done in the process but it installs fine and I can get to the preferences etc.. It just doesn't seem to work for me on my Mac running FF 5.0. Thanks for your hard work!

issue 63 (Incompatible with FF5) changed by robbie.h...@gmail.com   -   There is a version which works with FF5 (0.0.11). There are a couple of quirks which don't affect the useability of the plugin but meant the reviewer wouldn't fully approve it, I am hoping to see to those today, and it will probably be another week until that version is reviewed and hopefully approved. I think there is a way to allow these partially approved versions to install on FF, I haven't done it myself, but it would be great if you could and then let me know on here how it's working for you.

Therefore I don't think the about:config will help, there's nothing special.
