It's very common to get data from a URL, and so users should be able to insert this (or similar) information into the header, as e.g. d <- as.ctd(..., src="http://www.meds-sdmm.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/alphapro/zmp/fixed/2008/CTD_SS22008_B.CSV") for station-2 data, near Halifax. |
