issue 12 (INSTALL.txt not included in tar ball) commented on by israel.herraiz   -   I am attaching a MANIFEST.in file to be used with the Python distutils installation script. Just add this file to trunk, to the same directory where setup.py is, and it will include all the missing doc files. Adding this file to the repository fixes this bug.

issue 8 (pyTwerp should take the password by other ways) reported by gustavodn   -   Currently pyTwerp takes the password only by the --password option. This is not good, the password may be left in the shell history file, seen by other users on 'ps' output (with some luck), etc. It should take the password by reading it on non-echoed standard input. Other alternatives are allowing a missing --password option when creating the twerprc file, so the user can edit the file manually, or providing a template twerprc so the user can fill it securely, ...

issue 6 (Add support for Laconica servers) reported by israel.herraiz   -   I have added laconi.ca support to pyTwerp. Laconi.ca [1] is an open source project that implements a Twitter-like system. It has a REST API that is compatible with Twitter. The main difference between Laconi.ca and Twitter is that Laconi.ca sites may be private, and so authentication is needed even to retrieve the public timeline. The attached patch adds a command line option to set the URL of the REST API (if not set, it is http://twitter.com by default), and changes a little the URLs to make them according to the API. It also authenticates for all the petitions (including the public timeline as I say above). The configuration "remembers" the last URL used. It is the same behavior that with the username and password. I guess that it could be a good idea to add support for multiple accounts. I have verified that pytwerp works both with Twitter and Laconi.ca sites with this patch. The patch has been obtained against the latest available sources in the SVN repository. [1] http://laconi.ca/
