PyFacebook is a thin wrapper for accessing Facebook's RESTful API through Python.

Status:

As of June 2nd, 2007:

  • API v1.0 is implemented.
  • Photo uploading works.
  • Can be used from both web and desktop apps.
  • Calls are now made with facebook.auth.getSession() as opposed to auth_getSession()
  • Pretty well documented, example Django project and desktop app in source code.
  • Tutorial here: http://wiki.developers.facebook.com/index.php/Python
  • Needs more testing... :-)
