puddleblog

Self hosted lifestreaming engine

Puddle is a new fast and unique blog engine. It will stream in your activity from various internet services like Youtube, Twitter, and more (currently supporting 23 well known services).

It's a very fast blog/lifestream engine written in PHP. It's not using MySQL (it was an interesting design challenge ;) to make it even more useable for most people with simple hosting plans.

It's completely open, extendable with plugins and still in development!

Release notes

First initial release of Puddle. Still many things that probably need fixing and improving but I just wanted to get this code out there to see if there is interest in it. So here it is!

"todo" things

  • Post-editing isn't working yet
  • cronjob for auto-refreshing isn't working correctly (not at all?)
  • DIGG feeds give error? what's up with that Digg!?
  • Picassa is a pain in the behind, probably need to use API code for this
  • Multi-language support
