PSS Client
Homepagehttp://code.google.com/p/pss-client/ MotivationPhilips ShopBox PSS 110 Player is really nice player to listen to radio and mp3 in the kitchen. Unfortunately you can't easyly copy music files to the device, because the PSS holds song titles in a database, the outdated SQLite Version 2. Philips provides an adapted version of Yahoos MusicMatch Jukebox sofware to manage the songs, but this is for windows only and does not eaven run on windows vista - not talking about linux and apple os. Alternatively you may want to try the ShoqBoxBuddy a nice product that - other than pss-client - does support playlists. ShoqBoxBuddy does only run on windows. FeaturesPSS-Client features
HelpStarting PSS-Client Unpack the downloaded archive into a directory of you choice. On windows run the program by doubleclicking: pss.exe oder pss.jar . On Linux execute pss.sh. Alternatively you may run the programm by typing java -Djava.library.path=./lib -jar pss.jar in a command window. Open the DatabaseConnect PSS 110 to your computer via usb. Open the PSS-Client file dialog choosing: File > Set PSS-File> ( path: system\media\audio ) on the player. PSS-Client will read the database and show the content in a table (see screenshot).
Remove songsChoose a song in the table as shown in the screenshot and press: delete Add songsYou may add songs via the file dialog "add". You may also add one or more songs via drag and drop form the filesystem onto the song table of pss-client. Please report possible drag and drop errors to our bug - tracker Bugtracker http://code.google.com/p/pss-client/issues/list. Drag and drop is based on file mime type information that may differ on differnt operation systems. |
