What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.install of rev45
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
i've just seen a dump stack output and had to hardboot the system

What version of priiloader are you using? On what ios/system menu?
priiloader rev45 - system menu 4.2U - ios249rev14

Do you have any IOS patches installed? (if so which ios and what patch?)
ios60patched ios70patched

What are your wii system menu settings
default no change

I tried to install again message I get is

Logged in as "su"!
Got ROOT!
Unable to read buffer. Aborting mission..

Tried to uninstall same message. Tried rev32 same. Reloaded system menu,
ios70patched same message. What can I do to install priiloader?

the error means it couldn't read the ticket into the buffer. obviously the prior
crash did something in memory or left something behind.
tried rev46 yet?

Have not tried rev46 yet. Reinstalled system menu just in case but the message
is the
same "unable to read buffer"

does it use the original ticket or the priiloader ticket now? (if it uses the
original ticket it should say so and also say its marked for copy)

thanks for the quick reply but i do not see any mention of the ticket - how
would I
see it? - after I press B plus + buttons i only see the message above on the
black
screen and it exits to Homebrew

right, that means its using the copied ticket. try and delete
/title/00000001/00000002/content/ticket . it must have been corrupted during
copy
(normal system menu doesn't use this, only priiloader does. the actual ticket
that
system menu uses is /ticket/00000001/00000002.tik which you SHOULD STAY AWAY
FROM)

Hi, I'm sorry I'm a total newbie when it comes to this.

This unable to read buffer is the main cause of all my problems right now. I've
been
troubleshooting this problem for almost 14 hours now and unable to load
priiloader to
create a nand backup.

I just came across this thread so I'm hoping this works.
I also had a DSI core dump and after that I had this problem. I'm fairly
certain this
is probably causing my problems.

How should I be loading the
.dol? Should I just use the priiloader boot.dol and rename this
ticket_delete.dol
into that boot.dol file then run priiloader?

Or is there a better recommended way to do it?
thanks!

use whatever method floats your boat (bannerbomb,HBC,preloader/priiloader
itself,
anything will do) to load the dol

you could even call it boot.dol and place it on SD in
apps/priiloader_ticket_delete
or something

Million thanks for the code (ticket_delete.dol). It worked like a charm. Put it
on sd
card, made a folder called delete_ticket in the apps folder. Renamed the
ticket_delete.dol to boot.dol and copied to the new folder. Run the app
delete_ticket
from Homebrew and it finished in two seconds. Rebooted the system and run
piiloader
v32 install and it went smooth and finished.
Thanks again

I's happened the same in my wii with the rev46. After the code dump I've tried
using
the ticket_remove.dol but it doesn´t work. Maybe it's neccesary other version
of
ticket_remove for rev46?
Thanks for your work!

no the ticket_remove.dol isn't bound on priiloader you know

also, you sure you had the same error right? (unable to read buffer)
if not then ticket_remove shouldn't help at all

It's the same error. The same code dump and the same message later. I' tried the
ticket_remove.dol and apparently works. But when i've tried to install again i
receive the "unable to read buffer" error. The only different thing is i tried
to
install de rev46 instead rev45

I resolved this problem with a reinstallation of the system menu & system ios
after
using the ticket_remove.dol

I have had same issues when installing on a clean system

R46 always produced a DSI dump
IOS 36 / 249, both trucha, both available, both working
But priiloader always crashed, thanks for the ticket deleter..

so, what did i do...i took the 0.29jodi preloader
installed it without any issues...it moved the sstem menu, installed ...
then i go directly back to my hbc, installed priiloader r46...and now it was
able to run

so it looks like a problem in priiloader install method
but i solved it, in the way that i dont install priiloader, i upgrade to
preeloader

maybe this will help someone else
