IT is really a FRAMEWORK - because it just consist of frames that hosts content for your RIA (Rich Internet Application). Also it is a Framework in the way of providing programmers with a stable environment of programmable objects.

Founded in late 2007 2112PowerWindows started as a very simple Internet Application that employed the YUI Framework to host content in draggable window frames. As soon it got clear that YUI really was not the carrier for real fast Internet Applications the project got going. First by empowering it with a superfast drag engine (by modding the Toolman http://tool-man.org libraries), and afterwards by implementing a Netvibes style grid layout where windows could be snapped-into. The Developer(a former Kernel Developer at a big German Software Company) choose to implement it as a flexible Toolkit that is layered in 4 programmable Levels.
