Introduction

This page describes in short the simple installation of the framework. The Framework is designed to 'unpack and just run'. As long as you install the YUI Framework into the root (/yui) directory you do not need to change any configuration. After copying the files you should be able to run the test page at /2112PowerWindows/veri/veriSandboxMode.html.

Requirements:

First of all - you will need to get the YUI Framework >=2.5.0 (install it or use our YUI hosting).

You need PHP (APACHE...) or a SAP System (yes go ahead and simply buy yourself a small one).
JSP/ASP will follow.

PowerWindows Version

Currently (Version 1.4) the system employs PHP and alternatively for SAP Business Server Pages.

a port for JSP will be available soon (planned for 1.5)
the port for ASP is probably available in late November 2008 (whatever release would be then).

2112PowerWindows use YUI. To be able to run the framework you need to install the YUI Framework also (see developer.yahoo.com for downloads). Minimum requirement is version 2.5.0 of the Open Source YUI Framework - http://developer.yahoo.com/yui/

Download the PowerWindows Zip file (from code.google.com http://code.google.com/p/powerwindows/downloads/list). Unpack it to any directory on your server. Adjust the config which is located under /2112PowerWindows/config/portalSettings.js to fit your installation path. Also adjust the configs PATH_TO_YUI setting to the path you installed your copy of the YUI Framework. (take care: this is a Javascript file and any error you make here will stop the framework). In particular adjust the path to your YUI installation. The rest should go untouched as long as you run the framework from your /2112PowerWindows directory.
