Overview

The USPS Intelligent Mail barcode (formerly OneCode) is used by the US Postal service to encode the delivery and sender information on letter mail.

Invoking

  • The data contains 31 digits representing the following:
    • Barcode Identifier - 2 digits
    • Service Type Identifier - 3 digits
    • Mailer ID, Sequence Number - either 6 then 9 digits respectively or 9 then 6 digits respectively
    • Delivery Point ZIP Code - 11 digits
  • The maditory checksum digit is calculated automatically and must not be included in the data field.
