Pidgin-identica-status works just fine for me, but pidgin-twitterstatus never does. At the moment, it's not even putting the status into the Pidgin status area. I've attached a screenshot of the problem as Pidgin shows it, and a log file of all Twitter-related messages, starting with me enabling the plugin and letting it update a few times. I may have time too look at it again in the future but I believe this is an easy enhancement for anyone with sufficient Perl knowledge to implement. You just need to authenticate your request to the API server with the username and password which are already stored as preferences.
