There is a potential workaround for this, but it requires a rewrite of the Pidgin Idle API. This is a long ways away, so in the near future this will not be fixed. If I quickly disable the Facebook protocol, then pidgin works fine, but once I enable it again it crashes. I generally have to wait a while until the Facebookchat plugin starts working again. Thanks a lot for all the work you've done on this plugin, it's made pidgin much more useful. Thank you.
