issue 700 ("Get Info" never retrives buddy info) reported by wahspilihp   -   What version of the Facebook plugin are you using? 1.62 What version of Pidgin are you using? Pidgin 2.6.2 What Operating System (Windows/Linux 32-bit/Linux 64-bit) are you using? Linux 32-bit What is the problem? When attempting to get buddy information using the "Get info" menu-item, the information window simply displays: "Information: Retrieving...", for almost 20 minutes, when I canceled the request. This happened will all the buddies I tried, and did not occur for any other protocol. Debug log attached. I was not logged in to facebook anywhere else.

issue 698 (Crashed upon startup on XP32) reported by er...@kelvinist.com   -   What version of the Facebook plugin are you using? 1.64 What version of Pidgin are you using? 2.6.4 What Operating System (Windows/Linux 32-bit/Linux 64-bit) are you using? XP32 What is the problem? Pidgin comes up, opens it's buddy list window, then crashes. I'm attaching a log from "pidgin --debug" and the DLL crash list (individual names were elided from the dump). The first time I tried it, it was okay until I added my Facebook account, then it crashed upon closing the "Add account" dialog. Upon subsequent loads, it crashes as above. Removing the facebook plugin allowed Pidgin to work fine otherwise.

issue 665 (Names not shown properly) commented on by chi...@hotmail.com   -   I think this is related to the buddy's status having an ampersand that isn't escaped. Eg "Eating fish & chips". The solution would be to replace all occurrences of a lone & with & Of course, you'll need to be careful not to replace the & if it starts an entity as in < or else you could end up with < which would be less than ideal. From the debug log: Gtk: Failed to set text from markup due to error parsing markup: Error on line 2: Entity did not end with a semicolon; most likely you used an ampersand character without intending to start an entity - escape ampersand as &

issue 696 (backtrace reportings from Fedora users) commented on by ismael.olea   -   Well, I think you should be a Fedora contributor for being able of receive the bugzilla reports by default. OTOH you are 100% open to follow and contribute throught the bugzilla, as you probably know. But I think you'd prefer a more automatic approach. I think you could refine a database query[1] to output exactly what you need and follow it by, say, a feed reader[2]. issue 509 (Facebook Captcha doesnt "work") commented on by dlenski   -   I'm having this problem with Facebook plugin version 1.64 :-( I've tried this on THREE different computers on different networks (all running Ubuntu Linux 9.10, Pidgin 2.6.2, plugin version 1.64). I complete a CAPTCHA, and Pidgin thinks for a few seconds, then presents another one... over and over and over. Logging in via the Facbeook web site does not improve the situation. Any suggestions...?

issue 695 (Facebook Chat segfaults pidgin when run with Comodo Personal...) reported by chris.feilen   -   What version of the Facebook plugin are you using? 1.64 What version of Pidgin are you using? 2.6.3/4 What Operating System (Windows/Linux 32-bit/Linux 64-bit) are you using? Win32 What is the problem? Pidgin crashes hard when loading some buddy images. To run GDB, I had to first disable guard32 (defense) in my Comodo personal firewall. When running Pidgin with GDB, I was not able to repro. I have been running w/o Defense on my PF, and have not had a single crash yet. Sense I am not able to run GDB while guard32.dll is loaded, I am unable to debug this problem. I will try and put some dubug statements in a private build, and see if I can get you some more information. Can I have your build script? I have a unix environment I can build from, but I dont know how to config it for a windows output.

issue 486 (Duplicate Friends) commented on by pablolm2005   -   eionrobb, I had to remove the .purple folder or it would still show the zillions of duplicate contacts. So far v1.64 does the trick, but I will have to confirm that tomorrow, there's almost no facebook friend around in the chat atm.

issue 693 (Plugin causes Visual C++ Runtime Error and crashes Pidgin) commented on by eionrobb   -   Hmm... odd that it's not making the pidgin.rpt. Not much I can do without it :( Can you try running Pidgin from a command prompt window? Looks like the last thing that happened is the processing of the status messages. I'll have a look through that code to see if there's anywhere that it can go wrong.

issue 693 (Plugin causes Visual C++ Runtime Error and crashes Pidgin) reported by timstravels   -   What version of the Facebook plugin are you using? 1.64 What version of Pidgin are you using? 2.6.4 What Operating System (Windows/Linux 32-bit/Linux 64-bit) are you using? Windows XP What is the problem? On opening Pidgin with the Facebook plugin enabled, pidgin logs into FB (I can see my online contacts) then immediately crashes, with the following system message: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error! This application has requested the Runtim to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information I have removed all pidgin and plugin files from the system and run a clean install of both pidgin and the plugin but the problem reoccurs. I have installed the debug version but it is not generating the pidgin.rpt file for some reason, is there another way to do this? I have included the debug.log should this be of any assistance.
