pi3diamond provides hardware control, GUI and data analysis functionality for:

  • confocal microscopy (scanning, tracking)
  • time-resolved single photon counting
  • pulsed electron spin resonance
  • optically detected magnetic resonance
and other experimental techniques related to studies of single nitrogen-vacancy color centers in diamond.

It is written in Python (tested for the Enthought Python Distribution 7.0) and uses the following main libraries:

pi3diamond is being developed at 3. Physikalisches Institut, Universität Stuttgart (PI3, hence the name) with contributions from Atominstitut, TU Vienna.
