I have Wii PAL Region, can I still use SCPH1001.BIN (US)?

Comment by nintendonerd1889@gmail.com, Jun 30, 2009

You'll need the PAL BIOS not the NTSC BIOS.

Comment by project member emuki...@gmail.com, Jun 30, 2009

PAL or NTSC doesn't matter.

Comment by yang_mar...@hotmail.com, Jul 2, 2009

is there a way to disable sound? or do i have to edit source and recompile? b/c i don't know how to recompile.

Comment by RockmanRotties@gmail.com, Jul 15, 2009

Is there a way I can turn off the fps ? I am using Game Cube Controller.

Comment by CalvinSo...@gmail.com, Jul 15, 2009

Freezes at "Execute" on the boot screen for me everytime :(

Comment by kaelon.l...@hotmail.co.uk, Jul 16, 2009

It freezes for me aswell

Comment by kaelon.l...@hotmail.co.uk, Jul 16, 2009

The emulator freezes due to a missing bios. It has to be in the PSXISOS folder and not the wiisx folder that is used in pcsx-revolution.

Comment by ze.spino...@gmail.com, Jul 27, 2009

Can I play with a classic controller?

Comment by S.k.y.l....@gmail.com, Sep 21, 2009

Where do I get the bios for the WIISX...?

Comment by S.k.y.l....@gmail.com, Sep 21, 2009

/how do I get it? XD

Comment by S.k.y.l....@gmail.com, Sep 21, 2009

Well, I have a bios from epxse... Same name and whatnot, but it keeps freezing at execute...

Comment by 400nanom...@gmail.com, Nov 21, 2009

I would also like to know how to turn of the FPS display.

Comment by nintendonerd1889@gmail.com, Dec 15, 2009

@S.k.y.l.e.r.Stewart15, make sure "scph1001.bin" is read as "SCPH1001.bin" (minus the quotes), and that it's put in the PSXISOS folder, which is in the root of the SD card. Should look like this: "SD:\PSXISOS\SCPH1001.bin" (without quotes). The ISO images must be in .bin/.cue format, or else WiiSX will lock up. And also make sure you're using a gamecube controller, classic controllers aren't supported yet. The ISO image names no longer need to be capitalized, so, they can be named anything you want them to be, as long as they end in "whatevergamethisis.bin" (without quotes). If you want to exit the emulator, just press the reset button on the Wii, it'll take you back to the Homebrew Channel. I really hope that they can improve the sound and framerate limit in the next release.

Comment by Khi...@jerrath.net, Dec 18, 2009

Freezes at execute. My bios is SD:\PSXISOS\SCPH1001.bin and yet no results. I've tried reinstalling the emulator, but it always freezes here. My games are in .bin format.. although I don't know what I could be doing wrong.

Comment by djnicemo...@gmail.com, Jan 26, 2010

I run my wii games from an external hard drive.... is it possible to run my WiiSx? games from that instead of the SD card?

Comment by AleksLap...@gmail.com, Jan 26, 2010

I have everything set up correctly and in the correct folders, yet it always freezes at "execute". Anyone with the same problem figure out how to fix it? Really gettin on my nerves. Thanks

Comment by rez...@gmail.com, Jan 27, 2010

I have the same problem as Aleks. I've been trying to run grand theft auto and grand theft auto 2. The first one freezes at "execute" and the second one shows "clear front buffer" and doesn't load.

Comment by rez...@gmail.com, Jan 28, 2010

I just figured it out.. you need to download sony playstation bios from an emulator site and extract it onto your sd card. I put it in the psxisos directory as well as in the main wiisx directory. Additionally, I had the other psx emulator installed and put the bios files in the bios directory there, as well, just for good measure : ).

Comment by amarant...@gmail.com, Mar 23, 2010

It says only .bin/.cue files work, but that's not true. I successfully booted and played an ISO of Alundra. According to compatibility lists, it played exactly like it would've had it been a .bin file.

Comment by sanchiag...@hotmail.com, May 21, 2010

Well I always play with .img files and work exactly like it would've had it been a .bin file.

Comment by bubgamec...@gmail.com, Jun 30, 2010

I've done everything the direction say with the bio and games still cannot get the games up and running there is currently no compatibility list for the psxgc beta 1 was wondering if anyone actually got roms working on the game cube and not wii thanks in advance I always seem to get the DSI ERROR with a bunch of coding can't seem to figure out what problem is

Comment by noddy...@hotmail.co.uk, Jul 2, 2010

The DSI error is related to mounting the sdcard I think, I used to get red screen dsi errors with sdml and sdload with my crappy 2gb card try a better branded sdcard.

Comment by kyskitte...@gmail.com, Jul 3, 2010

its working great dude, playing crash bandicoot 2 ...my fiancee is impressed thats one of her favorite games

Comment by bubgamec...@gmail.com, Jul 7, 2010

well what brand would u suggest I'm currently using a 2gb sandisk... i just updated to the gcsx beta 2 only games I've gotten working is bust a move 2 and 4 also soul blade for some reason the marvel vs capcom loves to give me dsi errors still cant figure out y im getting dsi errors still thou

Comment by noddy...@hotmail.co.uk, Jul 8, 2010

1. Are you 100% sure it's a legit card and not a good quality fake?

2. Check the card for fragments and errors by right clicking the drive in My Computer then select the Tools tab.

3. Atm from my understanding CubeSX / WiiSX will only play single track game iso's / bin's

FILE "GT2.BIN" BINARY

TRACK 01 MODE2/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00

games that have multiple track compact disc digtal audio such as TOCA Touring Championship won't work also if CubeSX / WiiSX did have CDDA support the .ISO image format can't be used as a container format for CDDA data so instead you'll have to use the .BIN format,

the CloneCD .ccd,.img,.sub format should be the best format to use since it dumps subchannel data as an extra file which is need by protected games like Resident Evil 3, TOCA World Touring Cars although you can .ppf patch them to bypass the protection http://consolecopyworld.com/psx/psx_patches.shtml

Comment by bubgamec...@gmail.com, Jul 8, 2010

Comment by dannybel...@hotmail.com, Aug 19, 2010

Please can you add DVD loading? For both the bios and the isos pretty PLEASE! I don't have a SD Gecko... just a modded cube

Comment by jfh0...@gmail.com, Nov 15, 2010

http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/3435955/PSX_BIOS_files

There's a link to the BIOS files for PSX. Use them for w/e you need. Don't think you'll need them all.

Comment by gonzalo....@gmail.com, Jun 8, 2011

I join to all these people asking for running GCSX on a DVD for Gamecube. Please answer with anything.

Comment by lion.d.g...@gmail.com, Sep 13, 2011

Does not work for me (Crash Bash) yet (freeze), but i think you are doing great work here! N64 Emulator works great. It would be great if using original PSX-Disks will work in future.
