Written in Blitz Max, this 2d particle engine is meant to be efficient, flexible and feature rich.
ParticlesMAX is being developed to be used for a new shootemup game called Trapped! Development of this game can be followed here.
NOTICE: I am in the process of creating a sample application showing off the various effect combinations which can be created with ParticleMAX.
NOTICE: At this time, ParticlesMAX is undergoing changes because of the integration into a game. This will add the benefit of ParticlesMAX being 'production ready'. BUT: Changes can affect how the engine works, how the library is laid out and how the engine integrates into other code. In other words: use at your own risk and please don't be upset when your library doesn't work in the latest version of the editor and engine. I expect the inner workings to stabalize with the next version.
