p4p is the tool allowing to try the Perforce active change list on different development boxes. The typical scenario is when you have done some work on your development box ('p4 opened' command displays the file list ready to be submitted) but you also want to try these changes on another box before the submitting to the Perforce. p4p can pack your current change list into an archive, transfer it to the remote machine, apply the changes remotely and revert it back.
