What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Settings -> Language & input 2. Keyboard & input settings -> Default 3. Selecting a keyboard (In my case, Smart Keyboard Pro) 4. Rebooting the phone 5. Going back into Language & input settings to see the keyboard reverted to default What kernel are you running? 2.6.35.10-perf+cm9 mcostea@mcostea #8 Please provide any additional information below. I tried to disable the default Android keyboard, but when I rebooted the phone, I couldn't get any keyboard to appear because the default was selected again.

No issue here either. I am using Swiftkey 3. The rom will revert to the default keyboard when the previous one was not found (ie: you have your keyboard linked on the SD card and on boot, the package manager finds it AFTER finding all the other apps). If your keyboard is in the internal memory then you should have no problem.

Ok, that was the issue. I have had the keyboard on the SD card for a while now, and the problem only started when I upgraded to ICS. Thanks for pointing out that simple fact, problem solved. |
