What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Opening stock music player
2. Selecting individual tracks, shuffling all, playing playlists. Playing any type of audio.
3. First 10-15 seconds the music will freeze and stutter a couple of seconds. Also happens intermittently throughout songs for a brief second or two.

What kernel are you running? 2.6.35.10-perf+cm9 mcostea@mcostea #8

It would really help if you could provide a logcat when the problem occurs.
* Grab aLogcat:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.jtb.alogcat&hl=en
* Reproduce the problem
* Open aLogcat and save the logcat
* Attach it here

I thought it might have been my phone's hardware not keeping up, but I've tried closing unnecessary apps, keeping memory 70-80% available. No change. Winamp plays smoothly.

I also noticed that paused music will sometimes start playing on its own after a few hours.

Stock music players in stock ROMs and several Oxygen GB builds ran perfectly.

Hmm i'm using the stock music app to play music from time to time but i've never encountered this issue. Do you have high overclocking or many apps running in the background?

I haven't overclocked and most of the time I have very few apps running, even in the background. I have tried only running the necessary apps for the phone's normal functioning and no change.
